Serving Atlanta, McDonough, Alpharetta and Surrounding Areas
In 1996, I began my journey in the moving industry with Gooch Moving and Storage. I spent two years learning the ropes from the best in the business, Danny Walker. After gaining valuable experience, I became an independent contractor, delivering furniture for retailers like Rich’s and Macy’s. At 20 years old, I suffered an injury while delivering furniture, resulting in damage to my small fingers on my left hand. Thanks to a talented plastic surgeon, I was able to recover and continue pursuing my career.
Inspired by the events of September 11, 2001, I felt a call to serve my country. I enlisted in the Army Reserves on October 28, 2001, and left for basic training just six days later. After six months, my unit, the 802nd Ordnance Company, was activated and deployed to Kuwait. As the newest and lowest-ranking member of the unit, I worked hard and earned the Army Commendation Medal (ARCOM), the highest honor available to me at the time.
During my time in the military, I shared with my fellow soldiers that I aspired to start my own moving company. Staff Sergeant White, a mentor, came up with the name "Move Something Movers," which stuck with me.
When I returned home from Kuwait on Valentine's Day in 2004, I bought my first moving truck for $19,000 and launched my business. What makes Move Something Movers stand out is our commitment to serving people honestly—never overcharging and always delivering reliable, damage-free moves. With our proven moving system, I ensure every move is completed with care and efficiency. My expertise in truck packing and leading moving crews has helped us successfully complete over 500 damage-free moves each year.
In August, I secured a contract with Furniture Expressions and Accent in Fayetteville, Georgia, helping the owner lower delivery charges compared to what other contractors were offering. I’m proud to support people in difficult situations, offering last-minute moves, emergency assistance, and helping those facing evictions—but we do not assist in the eviction process itself.
In addition to standard moving services, we handle furniture deliveries and haul-offs, as well as some appliance moves.
My talent for packing moving trucks is something that sets us apart. It’s a skill that’s hard to match, and it’s a big part of why our customers trust us with their moves.
Move Something Movers is not just a moving company; we’re here to help, make the process as smooth as possible, and ensure a damage-free experience every time.
